Iron Depths

You waded me deep
Into sonorous brass caverns
Half choked in stinging metal waters,
Fondled my wrists
As our hips stirred together
Motion implied by young whirlpools between.
You have a history,
A long story left behind
In this murk tainted with drops of time.
Smother its waves,
This damnable steel lake.
Bleed me out to the marrow with your claws.
Our perfect shriek,
A chorus through the folds of cave
Sweeter echoed in the hollow of your throat
Muffles crimson splashes
And reminds the sweet swimmer there
Of the promise I rasped against your bones:
My blood will keep you afloat
And my breath is yours to take
When you find that your own has been drowned.
