Wreathed in scarlet, golden sea above,
Draining as the grains fall one by one,
Sky of embers falling to dark.
Orbs below, gleaming back,
Beseeching the flowing fire to stay,
Seeing nothing,
Watching all.
Idle eyes of the heavens peer humbly
Behind clammy hazes of evening mist,
Bathing in the black,
Suffering the molten fire no more.
Crimson lights overhead
Condensate upon the naked eyes below,
Sinking and rising with the child's alarmed breath,
Living what stories it cannot tell.
Beneath blankets of nebulae,
Twilight fire rushes as a newborn river,
Drowning in power,
Breathing in blood.

Hunter And Ellis:1
ONE:
I leap over a roof. It's raining. It's dark. It's surprisingly quiet. I stop and listen. Silence. I sniff the air, and come across a familiar scent. Blood. Fresh, Human blood. I grin and track down the source, leaping from roof to roof. There. He's alive, barely. Beaten up pretty bad. I drop from the roof, and head towards him. He sees me. He tries to move away. Bad idea. He stops and holds one of his arms. Must be broken. I continue foward. He gives up. He curls up to the best of his ability. He making noises, and his eyes begin to leak. I think it's...crying. I lean over him, and place a hand on his head gently. Some of the blood of m

Nellis- Camping
Ellis had begged Nick for an entire week to go camping with him. Nick had, of course, refused saying he wouldn't go for anything less than a good hotel room. Finally, the hick's incessant begging had paid off when the gambler caved and accepted, but only if they could take along an air mattress, a solar shower, and several gallons of purified water. Ellis had readily agreed, anything to get the gambler to go camping with him.
Ellis had picked a good spot; on a slight hill thickly surrounded by trees. He had also put a tarp over and under the tent, but only had on account of trying to appease his lover with the extra protection against the el

I growl.
Dahm light. Hurts. Even in a dark corner. Ellis notices this. He looks around. He pulls a blanket from the ground. Looks around and finds some other stuff. He goes over to the window and sticks it up. Once done he sits down. It helps a little. Why did he do that for me? He grabs another thing of food and eats. It's silent. Ellis starts talking. I still don't understand him. But he's more tolerable. He stops after a while. He yawns. He lies down. He begins to rest. I rest also.

I wake up. It's dark out. I hear noises. Humans! Ellis is asleep. He's not aware of it yet. Good. I get up. I leave. I watch t

Kay guys, it's been a while since I wrote any poetry, but I was feeling poetic and L4D-y so I sat down and puked this out.
It's very abstract, but it's meant to be that way. Through the eyes of an infected, nothing would seem solid and logical, only instincts and conundrums..for example, why is the sky darkening?
Being reduced to an animalistic state, yet still somewhat maintaining a human mind, is something really interesting to me.
This is meant to symbolize the Hunter's first night, right after becoming infected. He's scared, he doesn't want the night to come. The fire of the day lives on through him as he tears through the city, discovering his newfound strengths.
Yeah, so, what do you guys think? Should I write more for other infected or somethin?
...This is probably one of the most vague L4D fan-literature-doodads there is..
